Community
TreeGrace
Farms supports efforts to end hunger and to transform growing practices with
organizations like the South Plains Food Bank, to whom we donate produce and
also collaborate with on projects for local youth.
Our representatives are happy to speak at local meetings such as those of
the Master Gardeners Association, the Lubbock Arboretum, and with other
business and community leaders. Through this, we share our vision, our
practice, and our excitement in working with
interested parties.
In addition to our outreach efforts, we envision change in community
development that integrates agriculture more fundamentally into modern
culture. In response to the pervading model of development, we are involved
in the planning of a community that integrates food production, minimizes
car use, and promotes healthy-building design. Included in the first phase
of development is a six-acre complex containing a greenhouse/restaurant,
hotel, educational center, banquet hall, and retail space. We plan to
implement design/build techniques outlined by the U.S. Green Build Council
LEED program.
If you would like to learn more about our projects or how to get involved,
please contact TreeGrace Farms via email or telephone (806) 792-2026.
